At the end of August 1998, bad weather obviously prevailed in large parts of Europe, from which not only the airshow at Kecskemét suffered, but also the seaplane meeting on Berlin's Wannsee, held on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Berlin Airlift. At that time, British Short Sunderland flying boats took off and landed on the Havel.
