Following the visit to the RIAT at Cottesmore, the author made a detour to the Farnborough International Airshow which – like the RIAT – suffered from bad weather and, in terms of exhibitors and exhibits, was more reminiscent of the ever weaker ILA than of the world's leading event at Le Bourget.
