Why the photographic yield of the 2001 CIAF is so meagre can no longer be determined today. Was the author simply at the wrong place at the wrong time, did the participating MiG-21s from the host country and from Romania not fly in the programme, or did photos once again disappear on their way to the laboratory (photography was still analogue at the time)?
